An event entitled “AI Ethics: An Abrahamic commitment to the Rome Call” will take place at the Vatican on January 10th, 2023. On this occasion, three representatives of the three Abrahamic religions will sign the Rome Call for AI Ethics, a document issued by the Pontifical Academy for Life and furthered by the RenAIssance Foundation in an effort to promote algorethics, i.e. an ethical development of artificial intelligence.
Vatican City, Dec 12, 2019 / 04:56 pm (CNA).- The Vatican’s Pontifical Academy for Life held an international symposium this week on medical ethics and palliative care, hosted together with the WISH initiative, a part of the Qatar Foundation. The Dec. 11-12 conference included presentations by representatives of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism on the topic of medical ethics, palliative care, and the mental health of the elderly.
On the anniversary of the promulgation of Nostra Aetate, leaders and representatives of the three main Abrahamic religions were received at the Vatican City, Apostolic Palace, by Pope Francis to commend the joint statement regarding the Preservation of the Sanctity of Human Life convened by the President of the Pontifical Academy for Life, Msgr. Vincenzo Paglia.
