60 people from a dozen faith traditions gathered to celebrate at an event jointly hosted by the Multifaith Association of South Australia and the Baha’i Centre of Learning. Our aim was to cultivate peace within ourselves and our wider community; to pay respect and learn from our First Nation communities; and to act swiftly on climate change by ‘Living the Change’.
You are warmly invited to an Interfaith Celebration of the International Day of Peace and to Living the Change at the Baha’i Centre of Learning, Adelaide on evening of Saturday, 21 September 2019.
You’re invited to join celebrations in every state for Time for Living the Change. Each event will have its own unique flavour but, at each event, people will share some time for spiritual reflection, discuss their efforts to make climate-conserving lifestyle commitments and celebrate with delicious vegetarian and vegan food. The Australian Religious Response to Climate Change invites you – if you can, please come along to these free events near you.
Across Australia Australian Religious Response to Climate Change supporters – and fellow travellers of good will – will have the opportunity to attend Week of Living the Change celebrations in the week of October 7 – 14. These will be held separately in Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Otford (NSW South Coast), Newcastle, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
