Bendigo: The Jade Buddha arrives home
Bendigo’s Great Stupa of Universal Compassion will play host to the consecration of the Jade Buddha on Friday 18 May 2018; on the days following there will be the Illumin8 festival at the Great Stupa, Bendigo.
World Interfaith Harmony Week Prize to Melbourne
The King of Jordan – founder of the World Interfaith Harmony Week initiative at the United Nations – attended the 2018 King Abdullah II World Interfaith Harmony Week prize ceremony at Al Husseiniya Palace and presented awards to the winners. First Prize went to The Interfaith Centre of Melbourne for their event, “Who Are We in a Changing World?”

Victoria: Faith Groups address Family Violence
Two years ago, Australia’s first-ever Royal Commission into Family Violence shone a bright light on a dark secret. The Victorian Government has undertaken manifold strategies to address family violence and has committed $1.9 billion – for family violence than every single previous Victorian Budget combined. Faith based communities and Victoria’s Multifaith Advisory Group have also instituted family violence working groups to provide solutions.
