The 9th World Assembly of Religions for Peace began on November 19, bringing together more than 600 religious leaders representing Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Indigenous, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Shinto, and Zoroastrian communities.
On 19 November members of the global networks of religious women and religious youth met in Vienna for pre – Assemblies to begin the work of the 9th World Assembly of Religions for Peace .

Religions for Peace will conduct the 9th World Assembly in Vienna, Australia, on 20 – 22 November 2013. The General Secretary, Dr William Vendley, gives account of the arrangements.
The Religions for Peace IX World Assembly is postponed until as early as possible in 2013, ideally in the first half of the year. The precise dates of the Assembly are not yet determined and will be communicated as soon as they are finalized with the Government of Qatar, the Assembly host.
