Interspiritual Gathering for Peace

The Interfaith Centre of Melbourne will conduct An Interspiritual Gathering for Peace in celebration of the UN International Day of Peace on Sunday 21st September, 2014, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.


Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The United Nations has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the UN Declaration on the Right of Peoples to Peace, the international theme of this year’s International Day of Peace is the “Right of Peoples to Peace”.

In celebration of the UN International Day of Peace, The Interfaith Centre of Melbourne will conduct An Interspiritual Gathering for Peace on Sunday 21st September, 2014, at Amagh, Toorak, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. There will be a guest speaker from the International Sufi Movement in Australia, reflective music and sound healing meditation. There will be time for meditation and silence.

Dr Nicholas Coleman, Deputy Director of the Interfaith Centre of Melbourne will lead this Interspiritual Gathering.

Murshida Nuria, National Director, The International Sufi Movement in Australia will be the Guest Speaker for this event.

There will be Sacred music and reflections offered by Cath Connelly, Celtic Harpist, Dr Visier Sanyu Meyasetsu, Angami Naga Chants, and Ami Hasson, Musician and Sound Healing Meditations.
