The JCMA will conduct is Annual General Meeting at 383 Albert Street, East Melbourne, on evening of Thursday, 15 November. The AGM will feature a presentation, ‘Developing Cultural Capabilities In Schools’ – The JCMA Education Program.
Developing cultural understanding and capability is a required part of Australia’s curriculum and increasingly recognised as an important competence for all of us to develop. Our new JCMA professional learning workshops for teachers helps teachers gain an understanding for themselves of diversity, stereotyping and unconscious bias and how it affects what happens in the classroom. Come along and learn about some of the research guiding the development of our programs and experience some of the workshop activities developed for use in the classrooms.
