Ballarat: JCMA Interfaith Friendship Walk

The Ballarat Interfaith Network and the Jewish Christian Muslim Association of Australia (JCMA) invites you to: JCMA Friendship Walk in Ballarat 2018 commencing from the Islamic Society of Ballarat premises on Sunday 28 October 2018.


 

Come along on Sunday 28 October 2018 and spend an afternoon walking together in friendship and goodwill between a mosque, synagogue and Greek Orthodox church. Starting at Ballarat Mosque we will walk to the Ballarat Hebrew Synagogue and then onto to the Greek Orthodox Church. We will start with a brief safety address from Ballarat Community Police. Through prayer of peace and reflections and we will learn about some of the history and traditions of each of the places we visit.

Water will be available en-route.

  • refreshments will be served at the Orthodox Church
  • 5.00 pm – Conclusion

Map of the Planned Route:

Walking from the mosque in Elsworth St, Canadian, along Joseph St, turning left at Clayton St, right at Main Rd, then right at Barkly St to the synagogue. Then along Victoria Street and King St. North to Humffray St North.
