A Chorus of Women marked the centenary of the WWI Armistice with a sell-out, standing-ovation performance of The People’s Passion at the Chapel of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture. Our big choral drama moved singers and audience alike, sparking much reflection about the contribution music and great wise stories could make to Peace on Earth now. ACT: Chaplains to be banned in ACT public schools, those left forced to teach non-religious roles
Chaplains will be banned from Canberra’s public schools from the end of the year in a move that goes beyond federal Labor policy to allow a choice of religious or secular workers. The School Chaplaincy community has slammed the decision, saying it is “removing choice from parents”, and it is “ludicrous” to keep current chaplains on in non-secular roles.

ACT Government agrees to all recommendations from child sex abuse royal commission
ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr has praised the bravery of child sexual abuse survivors for sparking sweeping protections for children through the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
The ACT Government has officially adopted 290 recommendations from the royal commission, including creating a criminal offence for not reporting allegations revealed during confession.
