Pilgrims with the Planet - coming to terms with the Anthropocene Pilgrims with the Planet – coming to terms with the Anthropocene is hosted by United Theological College. The aim of this conference is to engage the discourse of the “Anthropocene” in order to explore what theology – broadly conceived – might add to what must be a multidisciplinary discussion. The conference – at North Parramatta, starts on Wednesday, 13 September at 1:00 pm and closes on Thursday, 14 September at 4:30 pm.

The death of Nelson Mandela in December 2013 prompted a global outpouring of both grief and celebration. The modern world had lost one of its great leaders. Mandela’s extraordinary personal gifts generated considerable discussion about public leadership.

Religions for Peace Australia is a global, community-based organisation working for global peace across the world and for social cohesion in Australia in other countries, and for peace and co-operation between the religions of the world. It works for an understanding of the benefits that religion and religious moderation brings to society, and works against religiously based extremism that is violent. Religions for Peace Australia has affiliates and branches in all states of Australia.
