Government to establish Anti-Slavery Commissioner

Australia - Coat of Arms Today, the Australian Government introduced legislation to establish the core functions of the Anti Slavery Commissioner. Modern slavery encompasses a range of serious exploitative practices, such as trafficking in persons, deceptive recruiting, debt bondage, forced labour and forced marriage.

Religions for Peace Australia is a global, community-based organisation working for global peace across the world and for social cohesion in Australia in other countries, and for peace and co-operation between the religions of the world.
