balloon Refugee Week commences on Sunday 20 June, which is World Refugee Day. Celebrate and reflect on the art of welcome & belonging (while raising funds in support for Circle of Friends Pilgrim) and hear more about the work of Circle of Friends and Justice for Refugees. The celebration is at Pilgrim Uniting Church, 12 Flinders St, Adelaide on evening of 22 June.

Palm Sunday 2016 ~ Walk for Justice for Refugees

palmsunday The ‘Palm Sunday Walk for Justice for Refugees’ is an interfaith, international and cross-political event. It has been officially endorsed by nearly 100 organisations – representing every shade of the political spectrum – including Christian Churches, Islamic Councils, Ethnic Councils, Jewish organisations and Rural Australians for Refugees.

Religions for Peace Australia is a global, community-based organisation working for global peace across the world and for social cohesion in Australia in other countries, and for peace and co-operation between the religions of the world. It works for an understanding of the benefits that religion and religious moderation brings to society, and works against religiously based extremism that is violent. Religions for Peace Australia has affiliates and branches in all states of Australia.
