The International Day of Peace is observed around the world each year on 21st September. Women’s Federation for World Peace Oceania holds an annual one-day conference to support and foster peace building within our diverse multicultural community.
The one-day conference brings together people of different communities and faiths to discuss current strategies to establish Peace at the local community level.
Although science and technology are highly developed, the peace we desire is still out of reach. Why? Because of a lack of knowledge or resources? Political or military power? No.
It is conflict, hatred and selfishness embedded in the hearts of human beings is still causing new conflicts around the globe. Conflict and division within the person is the starting point. Conflict starts in the hearts of human beings. Peace must start there as well.
