You are invited to an NGO Roundtable with Ms Joy Ngozi Ezeilo, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons, especially women and children
The Special Rapporteur on Trafficking is an independent expert appointed by the United Nations to study and formulate recommendations to prevent and or combat trafficking and protect the human rights of its victims. The UN Special Rapporteur on Trafficking is conducting a formal mission in Australia from 17 – 29 November 2011.
The Roundtable is an opportunity to share with the Special Rapporteur current developments on trafficking in persons in Australia, including:
- Prevention strategies
- Human rights protections
- Protection gaps
- Legislative reform
- Best practice models
