A community forum which will explore how different cultures, faiths and religions understand and address issues of mental health and wellbeing will be held at Swinburne University on Thursday, 27 October 2011
This forum will explore how different cultures, faiths and religions understand and address issues of mental health and wellbeing. It aims to raise awareness and open a dialogue between community members and service providers on the diversity of mental health and wellbeing needs and understandings in our multicultural community.
This forum will include presentationas from service providers and researchers, panel and audience discussions, accounts of personal experiences and meditative reflections on mental health issues. Particpants are welcome to join the section of the program of specific interest to them, and are also encouraged to stay for the whole event if possible.
