Ballarat Interfaith Network will conduct a forum on the topic: What Does Interfaith Mean to You? on Saturday 20th July, at 2pm in the Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative Cultural Education Centre

On Saturday 20th July, at 2pm in the Ballarat and District Aboriginal Co-operative Cultural Education Centre, 403-407 Main Road, Ballarat Interfaith Network will host a forum on the topic: What Does Interfaith Mean to You?

The guest speaker is Nivedita Chaitanya, a Hindu nun who completed her studies of Advaita Vedanta in Mumbai, India, before returning to Australia, where she took up the post of resident teacher in the Melbourne Ashram at Templestowe. Nivedita is committed to the interfaith movement and was Secretary of the Manningham Interfaith Network and spoke at the recent World Parliament of Religions in Melbourne. She moved to Bendigo in 2010 and is now teaching in country Victoria.

Before Nivedita’s presentation on this topic, there will be an opportunity to participate in an informative tour of the BADOC Cultural Education Centre, and following her presentation an opportunity to participate in cafe-table style discussion with others on the same topic and to share in afternoon tea.
