Hobart: Multifaith Service and Vigil for Faiths 4 Climate Justice

Tasmania Logo
Australian Religious Response to Climate Change, Oikoumene Pasifika and Religions for Peace Tasmania Branch invite you to participate in a Multifaith Sevice for Climate Justice and an all-night prayer and meditation vigil on October 13 commencing at 8pm.

The Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC) invites you to attend this Multi-faith Service, one of eleven across Australia, in solidarity with Pacific and First Nations peoples. An open letter to the PM will call for climate justice and we will be showing grassroots support. The event is part of global Faiths 4 Climate Justice organised by GreenFaith International, which is promoting the proposed Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. Please sign this faith endorsement of the Treaty: https://fossilfueltreaty.org/faith-letter

The service will involve readings, prayers, meditation, music and chanting from a range of religious traditions, aligned with the above themes.

More information: https://www.arrcc.org.au/f4cj2022

We welcome people of all faiths or none!

There will be an all-night prayer and meditation Vigil the night before, starting at 8 pm. Come along for all or part of this part of the event. It will be held online on this Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZwrcOmqqjMiGdSHwhaG51Bu8CZdNeS1WdpU
