Climate Change Workshops

Victoria: Climate Change WorkshopsGembrook Retreat will conduct an ‘Active Hope in a time of climate crisis’ workshop in Gembrook on 9 April from 9AM to 6:30pm. For those who are overwhelmed or exhausted by the climate crisis, trying to take action and feeling the urgent need for our generation to change how we live! This workshop provides spiritual practices to help us support each other in maintaining an active hope. There will be a follow-up workshop on 14 May.

Are you overwhelmed or exhausted by the climate crisis and the potential outcomes? Are you trying to take action and feel the urgent need for our generation to change how we live? This workshop is a time for us to come together and support each other in our way forward.

Throughout the day we will use spiritual practices such as nature connection, deep listening and sharing, singing and community building. These practices can help us to feel confident and clear about our participation in the changes that we need to make to address the climate crisis, give us a grounding to keep going and feel encouraged, as well as providing an experience of being part of a larger collective working together.

This workshop is based on the Work That Reconnects which was created by the eco-philosopher, Joanna Macy.

(There will be a follow up workshop ‘Active Hope in a time of climate crisis’ – 14 May)

Meals provided (vegan and gluten free)

Cost: sliding scale $75/$100/$125

Please contact us if cost would prevent you from attending as we are able to offer some subsidised places.
