Blake Prize for Religious art 60th anniversary exhibition

The 60th Blake Touring Exhibition will open at Burrinja Gallery, Glenfern Road, Upwey, Victoria, until 29 April 2012.

The Blake Prize was established 60 years ago as an incentive to raise the standard of contemporary religious art away from out-dated or imitative styles.

The Blake Society, named after the visionary artist and poet, William Blake, implements and manages the annual prize and exhibition program for contemporary art and poetry exploring the themes of spirituality, religion and human justice.

The Exhibition continues until 29 April 2012. Burrijna is located on the cnr of Glenfern Rd and Matson Dr, Upwey Victoria.
