Victoria: United Nations Day of Peace Event

Calm in the City - Virtual Peace Day event Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September. The 2021 theme for the International Day of Peace is “Recovering better for an equitable and sustainable world”. You are invited to participate in a virtual peace day event held online on Tuesday, 21 September 2021.

This half hour peace-filled event, including a gentle guided meditation and messages of hope, will celebrate and reinforce compassion, resilience, courage and hope within the community. In the face of the pandemic, as we move towards recovery and healing, we invite you to join leaders from faith and non-faith backgrounds and come together, in unity, to light a candle for peace.

We hope that you are able to join us and make your own dedicated contribution to peace – and all that it brings for us all – on this universal day of peace.
