Darebin Council is seeking expressions of interest from community members (including anyone who lives, work or studies in Darebin) who would like to join one of Darebin’s community advisory committees – the Darebin Interfaith Council Committee. Applications from suitably experienced persons are open until August 25, 2021.
Expressions of Interests are open for the Darebin Interfaith Council Committee. Its purpose is to provide strategic advice to Council and advocate on issues affecting the faith communities to inform and improve Council decision making in relation to policy, program, and service delivery.
Darebin Interfaith Council Committee promotes the work of interfaith collaboration and interfaith understanding for the City of Darebin and works towards the elimination of racial and religious prejudice, intolerance and vilification.
The Committee also supports Council with the implementation its Equity and Inclusion Policy and promotes social harmony and cohesion between diverse faith communities and the protection of human rights. Applicants will need to complete an Expression of Interest. Each Expression of Interest is unique to each committee. Applicants can apply by:
Completing the Expression of Interest online. Visit this online form, fill out your information, select the committee(s) you are applying for and follow the prompts to fill out the form.
