Victoria: Ebru Marbling classes

The Moonee Valley Interfaith Network will conduct Ebru Marbling Classes on Saturday 25 July 2015; there will be a morning session and an afternoon session on the day.

Ebru is a form of Islamic art that is over 500 years old. Sprinkling the colourful pigments onto the water and watching them transform into form is breathtaking. You are completely immersed in a feeling of energized focus, oblivious to the passing of time, harnessing your emotions into the water, fully present to the moment and mesmerized by the depth of exploration at hand.

The workshops are limited to small groups of 6 so everyone will get a chance to mingle and make some magical pieces of artwork. Each group will participate in 2 workshops of 1.5 hours each and will get to experience making both patterns and flowers with marbling.

The Moonee Valley Interfaith Network has received funding to ensure these workshops are free of charge to our MVIN community.
