NSW: Yom Hashoah 2020

NSW: Yom Hashoah 2020 Yom Hashoah – the Commemoration of the Holocaust – occurs annually on April 19 and 20. The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies will conduct commemoration at Rookwood Cemetery, UNSW and Masada College. The theme of this year’s commemoration is Women and the Holocaust. In the light of recent developments it has been deemed prudent and responsible to live stream this celebration.

This year’s Yom Hashoah commemoration events will feature Women and the Holocaust.

Survivors Olga Horak, Jacqueline Dale and Yvonne Engelman will share their stories. Fiona Harari, Sydney author of We Are Here – Talking with Australia’s Oldest Holocaust Survivors, will be the keynote speaker.

There will also be a Righteous Among the Nations ceremony at the Eastern Suburbs and North Shore events.
