Earthquake in Nepal

The members of Religions for Peace – the world’s largest multi-religious coalition solely dedicated to advancing principled cooperation for peace – offer our most heartfelt sympathy and loving solidarity to the people of Nepal and its neighboring countries affected by the earthquake. We are deeply saddened by the magnitude of devastation experienced and have great concern for the wellbeing of all those impacted.

We offer our sincere condolences to the victims of this horrendous natural disaster and their families during this time of sorrow and adversity.

To President of Religions for Peace Nepal, Ms. Indira Manandhar, and our other dear colleagues from Religions for Peace Nepal, we offer our profound solidarity and support.

Even in the midst of this tragedy, we can all be comforted by our faith and by the knowledge that each of us is becoming more aware of our interconnectedness as a human family. We realize, even amidst such cataclysmic events, our fundamental commonality and glimpse the opportunity to foster greater harmony. We commend the efforts of the religious communities that are already responding to this tragedy by providing financial and other emergency assistance.

Our continued thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this devastation.
