The Empathy Initiative is a group of like-minded academics and practitioners with a strong belief in the power and potential of empathy to change lives and improve the quality of care provided to patients/clients/residents. University of Technology Sydney will conduct an Empathy Symposium preceded by Empathy Workshops on 5 – 6 December 2019.
The symposium will be held on December 6 and include plenary speakers, oral and poster presentations exploring the relationship between empathy and patient care, and promoting practical strategies for enhancing and evaluating empathy in clinical and educational settings. A diverse range of empathy workshops are also scheduled for December 5.
