NSW: The Empathy Initiative

The Empathy InitiativeThe Empathy Initiative is a group of like-minded academics and practitioners with a strong belief in the power and potential of empathy to change lives and improve the quality of care provided to patients/clients/residents. University of Technology Sydney will conduct an Empathy Symposium preceded by Empathy Workshops on 5 – 6 December 2019.

The UTS Empathy Symposium 2019 will be an exciting event bringing together healthcare educators, clinicians and researchers who are committed to better understanding the power of empathy to transform education and improve patient care.

The symposium will be held on December 6 and include plenary speakers, oral and poster presentations exploring the relationship between empathy and patient care, and promoting practical strategies for enhancing and evaluating empathy in clinical and educational settings. A diverse range of empathy workshops are also scheduled for December 5.
