The Jewish Christian Muslim Association’s Annual Event will cover the topic of Religion in the Media at Richmond Town Hall.

The Inaugural Annual JCMA Event will look at the topic of “Religion in the Media” with skilled and experienced panellists currently working in the media. The MC for this event will be Margaret Coffey of ABC Radio National.

It will present some examples of religious groups generating positive stories of media coverage and how that was achieved, hear from skilled and experienced panellists currently working in media and together, develop some positive actions points that will assist both the faiths and the media from perpetuating harmful and negatives stereotypes of religion

  • Dr Nasya Bahfen (Journalist & Communications, Lecturer, RMIT)

Where: Richmond Town Hall, 333 Bridge Rd Richmond (Stairs only access)

Cost: $15 per person, $10 students or concession, $30 family
