This is a hybrid event.

“Reflections on the Interreligious Imperative for the pact for the future and the multilateralism based on Human Fraternity”
On behalf of the co-organizers, we are pleased to extend our invitation to the Consultation at the Summit of the Future: “Reflections on the Interreligious Imperative for the Pact for the Future and Multilateralism Based on Human Fraternity.” The event will take place on Monday, September 23, 2024, from 2:00 to 5:30 pm at the Church Center for the United Nations (CCUN), 777 United Nations Plaza, 8th Floor, New York. A light lunch will be served at 1:30 pm before the consultation begins.
The Consultation aims to:
1 Examine the ethical considerations in the Pact for the Future and the Declaration on Future Generations from an interfaith perspective.
2 Recognize the role of religious communities and interfaith organizations in safeguarding the needs and interests of future generations.
3 Facilitate engagement between faith-based and interfaith organizations and the UN to deliver on the Pact for the Future and the Declaration on Future Generations.
4 Develop mechanisms to raise awareness and mobilize religious communities for the fulfilment of the Pact for the Future and the Declaration on Future Generations.
5 Integrate the perspectives of children and youth of faith in addressing the themes and issues discussed at the Summit of the Future.
6 Involve interfaith children and youth leaders in intergenerational dialogue to contribute toward a more peaceful, just, and inclusive world.
This is a hybrid event, in person and online.
