RIGPA – International Day of Peace

Rigpa Australia - Centres for the Study and Practice of Tibetan Buddhism


Rigpa Australia – Centres for the Study and Practice of Tibetan Buddhism will conduct an observance the United Nations International Day of Peace. The event will be in Sydney on Sunday 22nd September from 4-6pm.


Our organisation is Rigpa, part of an international network of centres and groups for the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism. This, our third annual Peace event, is being held in collaboration with The Institute for Economics and Peace and is part of the Raising Peace Festival

This year we are looking at the question of religion, or faith, and peace. Patricia Garcia AO will present the Institute’s research into Religion and Peace, and she will be followed by invited speakers from Christian, Jewish, Islamic and Buddhist faiths. There will be a panel discussion with the opportunity for questions from the audience.

The event is free.
