Queensland Churches Together: Responding to Domestic Violence

Queensland Churches Together will deliver a three-session workshop on Responding to Domestic Violence in February 2024.

Responding to Domestic Family Violence

Despite attempts by governments and agencies to reduce the incidence of Domestic Violence, women continue to be killed at a rate of more than one a week. But this is the tip of the iceberg, with a significant number of people suffering abuse and coercive control each and every day.

Churches often believe that Domestic Violence does not happen within the families sitting in the pews each Sunday, but research shoes that Intimate Family Violence happens in church congregations at the same rate as within the wider community. Churches are not immune.

Learn more about Domestic and Family Violence and how to ensure the culture in your Church is supportive to all those affected by Domestic Family Violence.

Workshop will run over three Wednesday evenings 7.00pm-8.30pm on
* 21st February,
* 28th February and
* 6th March

Location – Online using Zoom

Online event access details will be provided by the event organiser after registration
