Tango Shalom is an interfaith comedy dance movie about “Rabbi Moshe Yehuda” (Jos Laniado), who enters a televised Tango competition to save his Hebrew school from bankruptcy. There is only one problem: he can’t touch a woman! With the help of his friends, a Catholic priest, a Muslim Imam, and an Indian Mystic, they hash out a plan to help Moshe enter the competition without sacrificing his sacred beliefs. A heart-pumping and heartwarming fable that tests the bonds of family, community, and the bounds of tolerance and faith…one dazzling dance step at a time.

“In these times when divisions make us suffer more and more, how refreshing it is to find a film that bets on bringing together protagonists that we too often oppose! A necessary film to break down prejudices and an excellent medicine for the soul.”-Grandfather Rankin, Co-President, Religions for Peace

“What I enjoyed most about ‘Tango Shalom’ is how it demonstrates the importance of forming relationships across differences, learning about the values of other religions, and breaking down walls that often exist between us. It is a beautiful story of interfaith friendship, a story we need to hear now more than ever.” -Bishop Dr. Munib Younan, Honorary President, Religions for Peace

“Tango Shalom is a wonderfully warm and positive comedy which has a strong message of interfaith and a multi-cultural connection. One can’t help but to laugh with the practical approaches offered by faiths to solve age old conflicts of modesty.” -Steve Killelea, Honorary President, Religions for Peace
