Subject: ‘Women and Non Violent Communication’

United Nation agencies campaigns for the promotion of the welfare of women across the world, still women in some parts of the world have not been able to find space in the onerous task of peace-building. In other words, while there continue to be multilateral and multinational efforts that are targeted at conflict resolution and peace building in parts of the world, little space have been given to women to contribute their own quota even as they constitute the greatest sufferers of conflict situations and incidences across the world. Through these webinars the speakers from India, and Indonesia will hold session on role of women and girls in towards establishing Peace, Harmony and Non-violence in the present society.

Subject: ‘Non-Violent Communication and Structural Transformation’

In an age of growing inequalities, avoiding conversations about domination, systems, power, casts, gender, or sexual orientation is no longer an option. When emotions surface and stakes are high, this webinar will introduce participants to respond in a way that draws people into a conversation using Non-Violent Communication (NVC). NVC is a set of ideas and practices based on the empathic and relational nature of human beings that can be integrated into a way of being in the world. During the webinar, participants will take a look at processes for applying a non-violence lens to affecting social change and addressing issues around power and access.
