The Multifaith Association of South Australia participated in the Australia Day Multifaith Celebration in Adelaide.
Our first meeting for the year was held at the Jewish Community Centre, 199 Sturt Street, Adelaide on the 12th February. We are grateful to JCS for providing us with a free venue for our committee meetings.
- Our President Kris Hanna and other members attended the Australia Day Multifaith Celebration. Kris lead the Thanksgiving and Intercession prayer. Representatives from different Faith Communities participated in a procession displaying symbols of their faith community and a multifaith orchestra was assembled for the occasion.
- Plans are well underway for our annual symposium which will be held in Septmeber. The theme will be Conversation, Community, Connectedness.
- Members attended a Mosque Open Day at the newly built Mosque on Marion Road, Parkholme.
- A talk by Dr Yogi, an interfaith leader from Nepal was attended by members during February, 2012.
- We are planning an open meeting for April when committee members will share a five minute talk about symbols from their faith community.
- We are looking at ideas for reactivating our Youth Group
