Survey: LGBTIQ and Religious Freedom in Australia

Rainbow flagThe Australian Research Council has funded a university based survey on the experience of LGBTIQ people in Australia and Religious Freedom. It is an important survey and will map out future needs for religious freedom and practice by LGBTIQ people and to survey the path to practice of their faith in Australia without discrimination.

We are inviting people to participate in a survey of religious people’s experience of religious freedom and discrimination, and of their attitudes toward lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender, and other genders and sexualities such as queer (LGBT+).The survey is for anyone who considers themselves religious, is over 18 years old, and lives in Australia. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.   The project is being led by Prof Douglas Ezzy from the School of Social Sciences at the University of Tasmania. It is funded by an Australian Research Council grant and has been approved by the Tasmania Social Sciences Human Research Ethics Committee, with Project ID: 23410.
