The Uniting Church Disability Inclusion, people interested in issues of disability inclusion within multifaith settings, has presented a report on disability in multifaith settings.
During the past couple of years in particular, the Uniting Church has continued to develop connections with people (individuals and faith communities) across the faith spectrum, who also wish to enhance full participation of people with disability, and consider what improvements need to be made.
To this end a report, ‘To Belong I need to be Missed’, funded with State Government support, has been completed. It was a collaborative project to investigate the experiences of people with disabilities and faith leaders, from Buddhist, Christian, Jewish and Muslim perspectives. The full report, and a DVD with interviews, along with other information about current work, can be found at http://blogs.victas.uca.org.au/disabilityinclusion/
