Celebrating WILPF Tasmania’s Centenary

The President and members of the Womens International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) Tasmanian Branch are delighted to invite you, your family and friends, to a Soup and Sandwich luncheon (12.30-2.30 pm) to celebrate the Centenary of our Branch of WILPF Australia and Human Right’s Week,

We are honoured to have as Guest Speaker Professor MARGARET REYNOLDS, who, as a young Townsville mother in 1970 began working for peace via her campaign to establish a branch of the anti-conscription organisation Save our Sons. She joined WILPF in 1983. Margaret has worked for peace as a Senator in the Australian Parliament, the United Nations and the community. She will outline 50 years of activism in campaigns to find new ways of resolving conflict.
