NSW – Religions for Peace October Meeting

The October Meeting of Religions for Peace NSW took place at Parliament House (NSW) and was hosted by the Hon. Walt. Secord

Religions for Peace NSW Branch meets regularly to discuss social cohesion and to explore understanding, cooperation, harmony and peace between the religions.

Social cohesion encourages participation in voluntary work, and fosters a sense of acceptance and belonging. The personal sense of worth generated is not only in the religious community but also in the Australian community, bringing acceptance for minorities, newcomers, and positive attitudes to those seeking a new life here. The refugee moves from detention and temporary protection to an identity as the new “Aussie Battler”, welcome and helped.
