Darwin: Prayers for Peace

The United Nations Association of Australia (NT Division), the Christ Church Anglican Cathedral and the Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory will conduct Prayers for Peace on the evening of 21 September 2015 at Christ Church Anglican Cathedral, Darwin.


There will be a multi-faith function “Prayers for Peace” at the Christ Church Anglican Cathedral from 6.30 pm Monday evening 21 September to celebrate the UN International Day of Peace. There will be an engaging and inspiring program of presentations, prayers and performances to the theme of peace, followed by refreshments (see the attached flyer).

This event is being organised by the NT Division of the United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA NT), the Christ Church Anglican Cathedral and the Multicultural Council of the Northern Territory (MCNT), and is sponsored by the City of Darwin and the Northern Territory Government. The theme for this year – which is the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations – is “Partnerships for Peace – Dignity for All” which aims to highlight the importance of all segments of society to work together to strive for peace.
