Initiatives of Change Australia is offering to you and your networks the unique opportunity to join in an online seminar with special guest speaker, Professor Rajmohan Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, from the University of Illinois USA, on World Refugee Day, 20 June at 11am AEST.
The capacity for Transformational Resilience is now needed more than ever before in our fast-paced world. This Forum will address the urgent need to enhance this sought-after capacity towards sustainable social cohesion and harmony.
Rajmohan will draw from his nearly 60 years of experience in peacebuilding and trustbuilding in complex communities, some with a long history of hatred and violence. He will further share how Mahatma Gandhi’s Transformational Resilience in times of crisis inspired the wave of liberation struggles across the globe.
Amiel Nubaha, a former Rwandan Refugee, Law graduate from Griffith University and now an Initiatives of Change Peace Builder based in Queensland, initiated this event, and will host it. He has drawn the need from his own refugee experience and his continued work in vulnerable communities to inspire young people from minority and emerging communities to develop community resilience towards a bright future. This has become more urgent with the advent of COVID19.
