Dear Esteemed Colleague:

Our brothers and sisters in Nepal and neighboring areas suffered a devastating natural disaster. The aftermath of the earthquake of April 25 and its aftershocks is staggering. It has resulted in millions of people requiring assistance and has left thousands homeless.

Your solidarity is needed. Allow us to urge that you support our united Appeal for Nepal. Your help can make a real difference. Already support for Appeal for Nepal has been heart-warming, but we need your help too. Representatives across our movement – individuals, affiliated inter-religious councils, youth and women’s networks, religious denominations and International Trustees – have responded with great generosity. Your support would add real strength.

RfP Asia has begun the process of launching an emergency appeal for their RfP colleagues in Asia. For those who are not contributing through RfP Asia, kindly visit http://www.rfp.org/content/donate-religions-peace to donate.

With your support, we can strengthen RfP Nepal to:

  • Provide assistance to rebuild houses for the most affected vulnerable populations
  • Distribute essential materials needed for daily life to people who are living outdoors in temporary shelters
  • Enable hardest hit communities to be able to generate their own income and to stand on their own feet
  • Train religious/community leaders to provide earthquake survivors psycho-social support and, if needed, referral for professional help

We know that you are in spiritual solidarity with your brothers and sisters in Nepal, kindly also consider contributing to the Appeal for Nepal.

In solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Nepal, we remain

Yours in Peace,

–>
