Glen Osmond Gurdwara, Adelaide South Australia In Australia, religious communities were one part of society expressly impacted by the ‘lockdown’ directives introduced to stem the spread of the virus. On 29 March all places of religious worship were effectively closed by the restrictions that limited non-essential indoor gatherings to two people. In Victoria, lockdown came again on 9th of July, with border closures. Here, we look to faith community experiences in time of lockdown. South Australia – Hope’s Cafe (Interfaith Matters) Cancelled

Following the sad news that meetings should be stalled until we know how to avoid the virus/vaccine is found we cancel the March meeting, which was due at the Baha’i centre. Next Interfaith meet (depending on health advise) is scheduled for 29 April (this time the 5th week in April – not the 4th week as is traditionally the case).

Adelaide Fringe: Hip Hop for moral growthHesh (Hibble) is an acclaimed hip hop artist from the Melbourne based hip hop group called the Brothahood, a conscious hip hop group which promote positivity and meaningful messages through their music for young people. Hesh is now bringing that vibe and more to a younger group of children. He will be performing at the Adelaide Fringe from 22 February to 8 March.
