A well informed guest speaker enters into conversation over dinner on a matter of interest and significance for people well beyond the bounds of Carlton.

Next Wednesday evening the guest at Carlton Conversations will be Derek McDougall (B.A. (Hons.), M.A., Dip. Ed. (Melb.), Ph.D. (Duke))

Derek is Principal Fellow, (Associate Professor), School of Social and Political Sciences, University of Melbourne. His academic interests are Asia Pacific international politics, with particular reference to Australian engagement in the region.

He is especially interested in the emerging shape on international politics in the 21st century.

In this context, discussing “what I believe and why,” Derek will consider Australian values and the Asian Century.

The venue for the conversations is a private room at Di Mattina’s Restaurant, 306 Lygon Street, Carlton.

Time and date for this conversation: 6:00 pm for 6:30 pm. Wednesday, April 24.

The meal costs $15 or $20.
