United Religions Initiative (URI) is a global, grassroots, interfaith organization established in 2000 to promote enduring daily interfaith cooperation, end religiously motivated violence, and create cultures of peace, justice, and healing for the Earth and all living beings. It focuses on fostering respect, understanding, and collaboration among people of diverse religious, spiritual, and cultural traditions. United Religions Initiative will conduct a World Interfaith Harmony Forum on 1 February at 3PM (PST).
The World Interfaith Harmony Week is based on the pioneering work of The Common Word initiative. This initiative, which started in 2007, called for Muslim and Christian leaders to engage in a dialogue based on two common fundamental religious Commandments; Love of God, and Love of the Neighbour, without nevertheless compromising any of their own religious tenets. The Two commandments are at the heart of the three Monotheistic religions and therefore provide the most solid theological ground possible.
United Religions Initiative SEAPac and partners invite you to be part of their World Interfaith Harmony Week virtual celebration on 1 February 2025.
United Religions Initiative Global Council Chair, Eric Roux will be a guest speaker at this event. Local Time
