International Day of Peace
To celebrate this day, you are cordially invited to join the 21st Interfaith Prayer Service on Saturday, 21 September 2024, at 3 pm at Knox Cultural Centre, Knox Grammar School, 2 Borambil Street, Wahroonga 2076 (a stone’s throw distance from Warrawee Train Station).
Keynote Speaker: Dr Elijah Buol OAM, CEO of Act for Peace, Member, Settlement Advisory Council. Act for Peace is working to create, together, a world where people uprooted by conflict and disaster have a safe place to belong.
Religious leaders from Aboriginal, Bahai, Brahma Kumaris, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Islamic, Jain, Jewish, Mandaean, Sikh, Sufi and Zoroastrian communities will offer prayers for peace.
School children will provide musical performances.
There will be an opportunity to light a candle for Peace during the service.
