South Australia: National Mosque Day at Parkholme

Islamic Society of South Australia LogoNational Mosque Open Day returns on Saturday 26th of October 2019. Invite your family and friends and join us on this day as we welcome you into our mosque – Marion Mosque, Marion Road Parkholme from 10AM.


Do you know the importance of the mosque to the Muslim community? Do you know what occurs at this congregation on a daily basis?

COME along and join us on this day to be enlightened on the Muslim faith.

This day will also entail a tour of the mosque with explanations about the buildings, history, the significance of the structures and designs.

This is an open invitation to all members from our local and wider community 😊

Overview
The Marion mosque has a mezzanine floor for women to use. Currently, it accommodates just 100 sisters and expansion plans are underway to cater for around 500. The plans include an elevator for the disabled and the elderly. The male prayer area currently accommodates 800 and will expand to fit 1,500. Masjid Omar Bin Alkhatab is fresh and modern and is the main gathering centre for Muslims in the South area. Address: 658 Marion Road, Park Holme.
