Denise Lawrence, International speaker, author, coordinator of the Overseas Communication Centre at Brahma Kumaris Headquarters, Mt Abu, India, will present a free talk, Calming Thoughts for Busy Minds at the Norwood Town Hall on Wednesday, 3 Dec at 7PM.
Sister Denise Lawrence has spent the past 40 years as a student and teacher of meditation. She has established Brahma Kumaris meditation centres throughout Germany, Canada and the United States. While in Los Angeles she presented a television series of 100 episodes on meditation practice and a further series of 100 episodes on addiction recovery. Denise taught meditation to addicts recovering from narcotics within the Los Angeles prison system between between 1984 and 1996. She has spent much of the past 15 years at the Brahma Kumaris headquarters in India where she has created text books on education in values and spirituality which are now part of a diploma course offered at twenty universities in India.
