Religions for Peace United Kingdom has started to arrange a series of talks on ‘Saving the Other’, aiming to portray how religions have helped save each other during times of conflict, as opposed to the image of religions creating conflict.

The first lecture is hosted by Lord Alderdice FRCPsych, with Sally Becker as our first speaker. Sally is an author and former leader of Operation Angel, a British charity. Her talk is entitled ‘Saving Selma’ and will reflect on her experiences in Bosnia and Kosovo, where she is credited with saving hundreds of lives.

The lecture will take place on 18th November 2014 from 7 – 9.00pm in Committee Room 1 at the House of Lords, London.
