RfP Tasmania – July 2014

Tasmania Logo

Religions for Peace Tasmania July gathering will be held at Mathers House (AKA 50 and Better Centre) Mathers Lane, Hobart on 8 July 2014 in the CWA room across the walkway, from 12.15 – 1.15pm.

We will show the remarkable documentary Pray the Devil Back to Hell, the inspiring story of a group of ordinary women who came together – Christian and Muslim, rich and poor, urban and rural – to bring peace to their war-torn but beloved Liberia. This is the story of their historic but unsung achievement and is gripping, suspenseful, terrifying in places, but completely inspiring. Their efforts led to the election of the first female president in an African nation and led to their leader winning the Nobel Peace Prize in 2011.

The AFFBR will run for two days and will include forums and workshops offering visitors the chance to experience and to learn about many diverse viewpoints.’

International Day of Peace

A wonderful event, leading many months of peace inducing activities up until International Day of Peace on September 21st can be found at:http://www.worldpeace.org/

This is a great one to join, even in your own time frame. I registered so I could leave a message, but will ‘join’ when the spirit impulse leads me by doing my own private prayers of peace.

The actual same time joining would be 4.30am Sunday morning for us on the east coast of Australia. ANYONE can be a participant in this and all the associated events, either online or as an individual at home.

PRAYER is powerful, thus empowering all of us to make a difference no matter who we are, where we are or our life conditions.

Feel free to share this with anyone you feel may be interested.

Infinite peace, joy and harmony,
Jenny
