Qld: Exploring Ecospirituality

Eco Spirituality

The Centre for Interfaith & Cultural Dialogue in collaboration with the Australian Earth Laws Alliance will be hosting a one day workshop, which features presentations about ecocentrism and ecospirituality from Indigenous, Buddhist, Islamic, Pagan, Christian and secular points of view. The day also features open space and small group discussions.

Ecospirituality means different things to different people. At its essence it encapsulates a belief about the deep and sacred interconnectedness of all life and life supporting systems on Earth. The aim of this seminar is to bring together people from diverse faith backgrounds, academics, students, environmentalists and interested citizens, to explore the meaning of ecospirituality in Australian society and its role in our daily lives.

This event is part of a seminar and lecture series being hosted by AELA and our partners in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth from July to September 2014.
