Today Religions for Peace, UNICEF and a global coalition of religious leaders are launching #FaithOverFear. Faith Over Fear is a global campaign to inspire people of all faiths to welcome and help refugees. The campaign will share a series of stories about families of faith from around the world who have opened their hearts, homes, and communities to refugees. By lifting up these heartwarming examples, Religions for Peace hopes to contribute to a more welcoming environment for refugees around the globe.

The world is witnessing the highest levels of displacement of persons we have ever seen. An unprecedented 65.3 million people globally have been forced from their homes. Among them, nearly 21.3 million refugees, over half of whom are children. Families fleeing violence, conflict or persecution face hardship and danger when seeking safety. Those who are able to find refuge all too often continue to encounter societal fear, ignorance and resistance in the countries where they are resettled.

By lifting up these heartwarming examples, Religions for Peace hopes to contribute to a more welcoming environment for refugees around the globe.
This initiative invites people of all religions to let their values guide them in the service of others. Please join us by publicly committing to open your heart and community to refugees. There are three ways you can join our campaign:
1. Watch and share our first short documentary film in the #FaithOverFear series on Facebook.
2. Update your Facebook profile picture with the #FaithOverFear frame to show your support for refugees.
3. Share and post a story to social media about a time you put faith into action and welcomed the other. Be sure to post using the #FaithOverFear hashtag. Visit WeChooseFaithOverFear.com for inspiration!
