Victoria: The Sikh Empire Exhibition



The Sikh Empire Exhibition is an Educational photo exibition focusing on the arts, arcitecture and remnants of Sikh Empire, The Sikh History and The Australian Sikh Heritage. This will be held at the Drill Hall at the Multicultural Hub (nearby Victoria Market) from 17 December.


 

The Sikh Empire

The aim of the exhibition is to raise awareness about Sikh identity, history and culture in the mainstream Australian Community, further creating understanding and harmony in the community. Also to educate about the richness of Sikh arts, architecture and achievements of the Sikh Empire (1801 to 1849). The Exhibition will have 3 sections 1. History of Sikhism 2. The Sikh Empire 3. Australian Sikh heritage and history

The Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition will be on 17th Dec 2016 at 11am. The Exhibition will be opened by MPs and leaders of different communities. The times of the Exhibition are 17 Dec – 10 am to 7 pm 18 Dec – 10.00am to 7.00pm, 19 Dec – 10.00 am to 7.00pm, 20 Dec – 10.00am to 8.00pm. Please visit www.sikh.org.au for more information.
