The annual Children and Spirituality Symposium will be conducted at Parkville on Friday, 7 September 2012.

Children & Spirituality Symposium (September 7, Parkville, Melbourne)

This annual Children & Spirituality Symposium is a wonderful opportunity for interested ministers, leaders, chaplains, religious educators, Christian teachers, theological students and faculty members from around Victoria and Tasmania to significantly engage with some of the recent thinking and research around children, the Bible and spirituality. This year’s presenters/topics are:

  • Beth Barnett – Children and patterns of spiritual growth – a Pauline perspective
  • DJ Konz – Living the Lord’s Prayer – abba, Barth and children
  • Vivienne Mountain – The meaning and function of prayer for children – pastoral perspectives and practical theology
  • Sean Winter – Children, fathers, sons and daughters -exploring familial imagery in 2 Corinthians 6:11-7:4
